Lower overhead in Portugal.
And room to grow, starting with a two-week assessment. We step in as your operating expert and your engineering expert: we map how the work really runs, fix the process, then automate it inside your own systems. The people you meet stay on your work from the first day to the last.
Assessment, mapping and automation for 50–500 person companies in Portugal: lean teams growing faster than their processes, running business software, email and spreadsheets in between.
The back office outgrew revenue.
Every year adds another coordinator, another approval and another spreadsheet. We find the hours spent on admin and rework and take them out, without cutting the people who matter.
Example Admin hours a week: 120 → 72

What we see in Portugal
Teams are lean, and the same few people hold the process.
In most companies we talk to, a handful of people know how orders, approvals and month-end really work. When one of them is away, the work waits. Writing the process down is often the first real gain, before any automation.
Growth comes before the systems catch up.
Companies in Lisbon and Porto add customers, sites and export markets quickly, while the back office still runs on email and shared spreadsheets. Each new branch or market copies the workarounds instead of a clean process.
Digital-transition funding exists; the hours to use it often don't.
IAPMEI and the Portugal Digital mission run Coaching 4.0: vouchers of up to €10,000 per SME for digital-transition consultancy, with 75% non-refundable. The vouchers are spent with accredited suppliers. The harder part for most firms is finding someone to scope the work and then build it.

PDF invoices need a qualified e-signature from 1 January 2027.
Portugal postponed the requirement twice. Until 31 December 2026, a plain PDF still counts as a valid invoice; from 1 January 2027 it needs a qualified electronic signature, which can be applied automatically inside the invoicing flow while your trust service provider issues the certificate. Certified software, the ATCUD code and monthly SAF-T reporting already apply. We connect your ERP to your signature and e-invoicing providers; we are not an accredited provider.

NIS2 has applied in Portugal since 3 April 2026.
Decree-Law 125/2025 brought the EU NIS2 directive into Portuguese law, with the CNCS as the authority. In-scope companies need documented risk management, incident reporting on tight deadlines and continuity plans. Your counsel decides scope; we make the evidence a by-product of daily work.

GDPR applies to every automation that touches people's data.
We build inside your systems and accounts and record which personal data each automation uses, so your data protection officer can see it at a glance.

Process maps and owners for the work that depends on one person
We interview the people who carry the process, map it as it really runs and agree who owns each step. You get written procedures and a handover plan before anything is automated.
Customer orders entered once, straight into the ERP
Orders that arrive by email or spreadsheet are read, checked against prices and stock, and created in your ERP. Anything unusual goes to a named person instead of a shared inbox. Example: order entry time cut from a day to under two hours.

Security evidence collected as you work
Access reviews, incident tickets and supplier assessments are logged automatically into one register. When the CNCS, a customer or an auditor asks, the evidence is already there.

05 · How we work with teams in Portugal
How we work with teams in Portugal
- Part of the team works from Portugal and part from Switzerland, so on-site weeks in Lisbon or Porto are easy to arrange. Portugal shares our time zone or sits one hour apart. We don't have a client office here.
- We step in on two fronts: business consulting to assess, map and structure the work, and forward-deployed engineering to automate it. Forward-deployed means our engineer works inside your business, not from a ticket queue.
- The people you meet stay on your work from the first day to the last, and we take on a handful of clients at a time.
- We work in English. Documentation follows the language your team prefers, and we say up front where we'd need a Portuguese-speaking reviewer. Contracts are with Devvion Inc., a Delaware company.

Questions from companies in Portugal
Can we hire you for consulting without automation?
Yes, Devvion often starts with business consulting alone. We assess, map the processes, write the procedures and set the controls and KPIs, usually over 4 to 12 weeks. Automation comes later, with us or with your own team, if the numbers justify it.
Can Coaching 4.0 pay for your work?
Devvion can do digital-transition consultancy and automation in Portugal, but we are not an accredited Coaching 4.0 supplier. Vouchers are spent with accredited suppliers, so check the current programme rules first. We're happy to work alongside an accredited coach.
We're growing fast. Should we hire or fix the process first?
Devvion's advice in Portugal is to measure first. The two-week assessment shows how many hours go to admin and rework and which steps depend on one person. Often a written process and one automation buy the headroom a new hire would, at lower cost.
Can you work with PHC or Primavera?
Devvion builds around the certified software you already run in Portugal, including PHC, Primavera and SAP Business One. We don't replace certified software; we connect to it and automate the steps before and after.
Do you build AI agents or plain automation?
Devvion's work in Portugal is mostly plain automation, with AI added only where someone reads a document and makes a decision, such as classifying supplier documents or triaging incident reports.
What does the first month look like?
Devvion starts every engagement in Portugal with the two-week assessment: interviews, a system inventory, a maturity score per process, an overhead number and ranked opportunities. It's a fixed fee, credited if you continue. Consulting then runs 4 to 12 weeks, engineering 6 to 16.
