Lower overhead across the UK.
And controls you can show, for growing companies. We step in to assess how the work really moves, structure the process and its controls, then automate the repetitive parts inside your systems. The people you meet stay on your work from the first day to the last.
Assessment, controls and automation for 50–500 person companies in the UK: rising wage costs and investor scrutiny, running cloud finance software and tools that don't share data.
Customers wait a day for a reply.
Messages pile up across WhatsApp, email and chat, and most ask the same few things. We answer routine questions in minutes and send hard cases to a person.

Wage costs keep rising, so admin hours cost more each year.
Finance and operations teams grow with the business, mostly to handle re-keying, chasing and reconciling. Fixing the process before the next hire is usually the cheaper route.
Investors, banks and buyers want to see the controls.
A funding round, a bank facility or a sale brings due diligence. Processes that live in people's heads and inboxes slow it down. Documented processes with a trail behind them speed it up.
Good software, bought one team at a time.
Most firms run solid cloud tools for finance, sales and support, chosen separately. The data doesn't flow between them, and someone fills the gap by hand every week.

Failure to prevent fraud has been an offence since 1 September 2025.
Under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023, a large organisation can be prosecuted if an associated person commits fraud for its benefit. Large means meeting two of: over 250 staff, over £36 million turnover, over £18 million in assets. The defence is reasonable prevention procedures, which in practice means controls you can show. Whether yours are reasonable is for your board and lawyers.

Automated decisions are allowed more widely since 5 February 2026.
Most of the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 took effect on 5 February 2026. It replaced the old near-ban on solely automated decisions with a safeguards regime: people must be told, able to contest and able to reach a human. We build those safeguards in, and in most cases keep a person approving the final call.

E-invoicing becomes mandatory for VAT invoices from 2029.
HMRC's consultation response of 26 November 2025 confirmed mandatory e-invoicing for B2B and B2G VAT invoices from 2029, with an implementation roadmap promised at the 2026 Budget. Clean master data helps whatever the final standard is. We connect your systems to your chosen provider; we don't certify compliance.

Due diligence readiness
Before a funding round, bank facility or sale, we map the core processes, write the procedures, set the approval limits and gather the evidence a buyer or lender will ask for. Example: audit prep from 6 weeks to 3 days.
Fraud controls that leave a trail
Supplier bank detail changes, unusual payments and manual journal overrides trigger checks and sign-offs automatically. Every step is logged, which is the evidence a reasonable-procedures defence leans on.

A board pack that builds itself each month
We set a close calendar with an owner per step, pull the figures from your systems automatically and send variances to the person who can explain them. The board pack goes out on a fixed date. Example: month-end from 10 working days to 4.

How we work with teams in the UK
- We work remotely from Switzerland and Portugal and plan on-site weeks in London or wherever your operations sit. The UK is on the same clock as Portugal. Devvion has no UK office.
- Business consulting assesses, maps and structures the work; forward-deployed engineering automates it. Forward-deployed means our engineer works inside your business, not from a ticket queue.
- We bring the discipline of large-enterprise operations down to your size. The people you meet stay on your work from the first day to the last.
- Everything is written in plain English. Our contracting entity is Devvion Inc., a Delaware company. We don't give legal opinions or certify compliance.

Questions from companies in the UK
Is Devvion a UK automation agency?
Devvion is a Delaware company working from Switzerland and Portugal, with on-site weeks in the UK. Unlike an agency working off tickets, we work inside your business, and the people you meet stay on your work to the end.
Can we hire you for consulting without automation?
Yes, Devvion does business consulting on its own: assessment, process maps, procedures, controls and KPIs, usually over 4 to 12 weeks. Automation is a separate decision, made once the numbers are clear.
Can automation help with failure to prevent fraud?
Devvion can design and automate the controls and their audit trail, such as bank detail change checks and payment approvals. Whether your procedures are reasonable is a judgement for your board and lawyers.
Which systems do you work with?
Devvion works in the UK with Xero, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Dynamics 365 Business Central and the tools around them. You keep your stack; we automate across it.
Where does AI fit?
Devvion uses AI only where someone reads and decides, such as an unusual supplier document or a customer email. Everything else is plain automation, which is cheaper to run and easier to audit.
What's the starting point?
Devvion begins every UK engagement with the two-week assessment: a maturity score per process, an overhead number and ranked opportunities. It's a fixed fee, credited if you continue. Consulting then runs 4 to 12 weeks, engineering 6 to 16.
