Faster cycles in Oman.

For mid-sized companies: approvals and handoffs in hours, not days. We step in as your operating expert to assess and map how decisions and documents move, then as your engineers to automate them inside your systems. The people you meet stay on your work from the first day to the last.

02 · What we see in Oman

What we see in Oman

  • Training is available; implementation help is harder to find.

The SME Development Authority (Riyada) runs digitization training for owners and staff. Teams come back knowing what is possible, then hit the same wall: systems that don't share data, and no one with the time to connect them.

  • Approvals wait on a few managers.

Purchase requests, leave and payments queue for the same few signatures, chased by phone. Work slows whenever one of those managers travels, and nobody can see where a request is stuck.

  • Two languages in one process.

Finance often writes in English while operations and customers write in Arabic. Documents get retyped and translated at each handoff, and errors creep in where the two meet.

03 · Local rules we design for

Local rules we design for

  • Fawtara e-invoicing: three dates

Oman Tax Authority Decision 189/2026, published on 9 August 2026, sets the timeline. About 100 large taxpayers started a pilot from August 2026. Suppliers above OMR 5 million go mandatory on 1 April 2027, and everyone else on 1 October 2027. Invoices travel through accredited service providers on a Peppol model. We connect your ERP to the provider you appoint; Devvion is not one. Confirm your date with your tax adviser or the Oman Tax Authority before you commit to a plan.

  • Personal Data Protection Law (Royal Decree 6/2022)

Overseen by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and IT, with its executive regulation issued as Ministerial Decision 34/2024. Automations that move customer or employee data get permissions and processing records that match it, and sensitive fields stay out of external AI tools when the law requires it.

04 · Where we usually start

Where we usually start

  1. Decision rights and approval limits

We map who signs what today, agree limits by role and amount with management, and write them into an approval matrix and SOP. Requests under a set value then approve by rule; the rest go to the right manager with budget and history shown.

Tools: Your ERP · Microsoft Teams · WhatsApp Business

  2. Customer statements and payment follow-up

Statements go out monthly in Arabic or English, payments are matched as they arrive, and an AI step drafts the follow-up for accounts that are late. A person approves before anything is sent.

Tools: Your ERP · Outlook · WhatsApp Business

  3. Bilingual documents, read once

Delivery notes, contracts and supplier letters arrive in Arabic or English. An AI step reads each one, the system checks the fields against your records, and only the doubtful ones reach a person.

05 · How we work with Omani companies

How we work with Omani companies

  • Business consulting and forward-deployed engineering both start with the two-week assessment. Forward-deployed means our engineer works inside your business, not from a ticket queue.
  • The people you meet stay on your work from the first day to the last, in Arabic and English, matching how each of your teams writes.
  • We work from Switzerland and Portugal, two to three hours behind Muscat, and travel in for on-site weeks at the stages that need it.
  • You contract with Devvion Inc., registered in Delaware. We don't have an office in Oman.

06 · Questions Omani buyers ask us

Questions Omani buyers ask us

  • Can we hire you for consulting without automation?

Yes, Devvion's business consulting stands on its own in Oman. We assess and map how the work runs, then write the SOPs, roles, approval limits and KPIs, usually in 4 to 12 weeks. If automation makes sense afterwards, the same people stay on it.

  • Which Omani deadlines should we plan around?

Devvion lists the Omani rules and dates that matter for your operation in the local rules section of this page, each with its source. Some start in 2027 and depend on your size, so we confirm which date applies to you before we plan the work around it.

  • What does forward-deployed engineering mean?

At Devvion it means our engineer works inside your business, not from a ticket queue. In Oman that means working in your ERP and channels, building the integrations and AI steps, then handing them over with documentation and trained staff.

  • How long does an engagement take?

Devvion's consulting work in Oman usually runs 4 to 12 weeks and engineering 6 to 16, after the two-week assessment. The real driver is how clean your data and processes are, so we give you a plan with dates after the assessment, not before.

  • Do you work in Arabic and English?

Yes, Devvion works in both in Oman. We write SOPs and documentation in the language each team uses, and build AI steps that read Arabic and English documents alike.

  • How does it start, and what does it cost?

Devvion opens Oman engagements with the two-week assessment; the fee is shared on a first call and credited if you continue. You get a maturity score per process, an overhead number and ranked opportunities. We don't publish prices because scope differs by company.
