Lebanon · Beirut and remote teams

Processes that hold in Lebanon.

Even when the team is small or spread out. We step in as your operating expert to map and document how the work runs, then as your engineers to automate the hours spent moving data by hand. The people you meet stay on your work from the first day to the last, and everything we build stays yours.

02 · What we see in Lebanon

What we see in Lebanon

  • Costs are watched line by line, so every admin hire is a hard decision.

Most Lebanese firms we speak to rebuilt their cost base after 2019 and kept it tight. The back office absorbed the gap: fewer people doing the same reconciliations, approvals and reports. Automating those steps is often cheaper than the next hire, and it doesn't leave when someone does.

  • Key processes live in one person's head or one person's laptop.

Teams split between Beirut, the Gulf and Europe mean the person who knows how month-end works may be three time zones away. When a process exists only as habit, a resignation or a power cut stops it. Written, automated steps keep running.

  • Tools are patched together by hand.

Accounting software, Excel files and WhatsApp threads carry most of the operation, often saved on personal laptops. Clean, structured records are what turn the next change, whatever it is, into a configuration job rather than a scramble.

03 · Local rules we design for

Local rules we design for

  • No e-invoicing mandate today

Lebanon has no e-invoicing mandate today. The Ministry of Finance is digitizing tax administration, and the draft 2026 budget proposes mandatory tax identification numbers. Structured invoice data costs little to set up now and saves a rushed project later.

  • Data protection: Law 81 of 2018

Data protection sits under Law 81 of 2018, which is barely applied in practice. We still record what personal data each automation reads, so you can answer customers and partners who ask.

04 · Where we usually start

Where we usually start

  1. Processes written down before anyone leaves

We walk through each key process with the person who runs it, write it as a step-by-step SOP with a named backup, and agree what gets automated next. A resignation or a power cut no longer stops the work.

Tools: SharePoint · Google Workspace · Microsoft Teams

  2. Month-end without the spreadsheet relay

Bank exports, sales figures and expense sheets are pulled together automatically. Your finance head reviews a draft close pack instead of assembling it from five files sent over email.

  3. Approvals that don't wait for one inbox

Purchase requests and payments route to whoever is responsible, with a backup when that person is away. Every decision is logged, so the record exists without anyone building it.

05 · How we work with teams in Lebanon

How we work with teams in Lebanon

  • Business consulting and forward-deployed engineering both start with the two-week assessment. Forward-deployed means our engineer works inside your business, not from a ticket queue.
  • The people you meet stay on your work from the first day to the last, in English and Arabic. Documentation follows the language your team actually uses.
  • We're remote-first, working from Switzerland and Portugal, one hour behind Beirut for most of the year, and plan on-site weeks with your team when they add value. We have no office in Lebanon.
  • You sign with Devvion Inc., a Delaware company. We work on top of the accounting, ERP and messaging tools you already have, and replace one only if it blocks the work.

06 · Questions from companies in Lebanon

Questions from companies in Lebanon

  • Can we start with consulting and no automation?

Yes, Devvion's business consulting stands on its own in Lebanon. We assess and map how the work runs, then write the SOPs, roles, backups and KPIs, usually in 4 to 12 weeks. For many lean teams, documented processes with named owners are the biggest gain; automation can follow later, with the same people.

  • Is automation worth it for a company with a small back office?

Devvion's work in Lebanon is built for lean teams. When three people do the work of six, each hour of copying and checking costs more. We measure those hours during the assessment, so you decide on numbers from your own business, not on our promises.

  • Our team is split across countries. Can you still work with us?

Devvion works with Lebanese companies whose teams sit in Beirut, the Gulf and Europe. We're remote-first ourselves, so shared documentation, recorded handovers and clear owners are how we already work. We add on-site weeks where being in the room matters.

  • What happens if the person who knows the process leaves?

Devvion documents every process it touches in Lebanon, step by step, in plain language. The automation runs whether or not its original owner is there, and your team is trained to change it. That continuity is often the main reason Lebanese clients start.

  • Is there a deadline we need to prepare for?

Devvion tracks the rules that could change your operation in Lebanon and lists them, with their status, in the local rules section of this page. Today nothing there forces a rushed project, so we use the time to put your data in order while it is cheap to do.

  • How do we start, and what does it cost?

Devvion starts every engagement in Lebanon with the two-week assessment: a maturity score per process, an overhead number and ranked opportunities. The fee is credited if you continue. Consulting then runs 4 to 12 weeks and engineering 6 to 16. We take a handful of clients at a time, at most.
