And cash you can see. We step in as operators: a two-week assessment, then we map how sales, supplier and cash work really move, set clear owners and automate the rest inside your stack. The people you meet stay on your work from the first day to the last.

02 · What we see in Ghana

What we see in Ghana

  • Mobile money and bank collections arrive with loose references.

Customers pay by MoMo, bank transfer and cheque, often with a name or a phone number instead of a reference. Finance matches them by hand, and the debtors list is never quite current.

  • Supplier approvals are chased by email.

Supplier documents land in inboxes, get forwarded for a signature and wait. Nobody can say what is owed this week without asking three people, and early-payment discounts go unused.

  • The founder is still the approval step.

Companies that grew past 100 people still route spending, pricing and hiring decisions through the founder or one director. Work queues behind one calendar, and the team learns to wait.

03 · Local rules we design for

Local rules we design for

  • VAT Act 2025 (Act 1151), in force since 1 January 2026

The Act cut the standard rate to 20 percent, re-coupled the NHIL and GETFund levies so they can be claimed as input tax, raised the registration threshold for goods to GH¢750,000 and abolished the flat rate scheme. Each change touched tax codes and invoice templates in your ERP.

  • GRA E-VAT, reaching more businesses

The GRA has been bringing VAT-registered businesses onto E-VAT since 2022, so that their invoices reach the authority electronically. In June 2025 it reported about 3,000 businesses signed on and 5,000 more preparing to join. The GRA brings taxpayers on in phases and notifies them. We connect Odoo, Sage, QuickBooks or SAP Business One to E-VAT or your approved provider, after checking your setup against Act 1151; we are not accredited by the GRA.

  • Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843): spot checks from October 2026

From 5 October 2026, the Data Protection Commission began checking organisations for registration and lawful processing, after a year of awareness work. Processing personal data without registering is an offence.

04 · Where we usually start

Where we usually start

  1. Decision rights that free the founder

We list the decisions that wait on the founder, agree who decides what and up to which amount, and write it down. Then the limits go into your approval flows, so work stops queuing behind one calendar.

  2. Supplier approvals on a route, not an email chain

Supplier documents arrive in one inbox. An AI step reads the supplier, amount and due date, and the approval follows your limits instead of a forwarding chain. Finance sees what is owed this week in one list.

    Tools: Microsoft 365 · Odoo · Sage

  3. Mobile money and bank collections matched

Rules clear the obvious collections; an AI step proposes matches for the rest, and someone in finance confirms them before anything posts.

Tools: MTN MoMo API · Odoo · QuickBooks · Sage

05 · How we work with teams in Ghana

How we work with teams in Ghana

  • We work remotely from Switzerland and Portugal, with on-site weeks in Accra when the work needs us there. We have no office in Ghana and do not claim one.
  • We bring large-enterprise operations discipline down to your size. Forward-deployed means our engineer works inside your business, not from a ticket queue.
  • Ghana keeps UTC+0 all year, level with Portugal in winter and one or two hours behind Switzerland. We work in English, and the documentation is written for the people who will run the system day to day.
  • Contracts are signed with Devvion Inc., a Delaware corporation. Where a local rule needs a GRA system or an approved provider, we connect your ERP to it; we are not accredited by the GRA.

06 · Questions Ghanaian companies ask us

Questions Ghanaian companies ask us

  • Can you help us without automating anything?

Devvion's business consulting in Ghana often needs no code. We assess, map the process, set decision rights, SOPs and KPIs, and get you ready for ISO 9001 or 27001 if that's the goal. Automation can come later, with us, with someone else, or not at all.

  • Which local rules do you design for?

Devvion designs for the Ghanaian rules listed on this page, each with its date and source. Whether a GRA rollout applies to you is the GRA's call, and it notifies the businesses it brings on. Where a rule needs an approved provider, we connect your ERP to it and are not accredited ourselves.

  • What does forward-deployed mean in practice?

Devvion's engineer works inside your business in Ghana, not from a ticket queue. They sit with finance and operations, see how the work really moves and build with your staff. The people you meet stay on your work from the first day to the last.

  • How does it start, and how long does it run?

Devvion starts in Ghana with a paid two-week assessment and a maturity score per process; we share the fee on the first call and credit it if you continue. Consulting then runs 4 to 12 weeks and engineering 6 to 16, with an optional retainer after.

  • Where does AI fit in your work?

Devvion adds AI in Ghana only where a person reads something and decides, such as reading a supplier document or matching a vague payment. The rest is ordinary automation, which is cheaper to run and easier to check.

  • Who owns what you build?

Devvion's clients in Ghana own everything built: code, workflows, access and documentation, in their own accounts. If we stop working together, everything keeps running.
